Volunteer Roles
VIP Parking Lot Attendant
Stationed near Oso HQ to ensure only approved vehicles enter the VIP lot. You’ll check names against the list and help keep traffic flowing smoothly.
Field Marshal
Assigned to a specific field. You’ll notify HQ of any needs and text in game scores when referees hand you the game card. Mostly, you're sitting and watching two soccer games.
Setup / Delivery
This role involves transporting and setting up/breaking down tournament
equipment using a large vehicle or truck. Volunteers may be assigned to one
of three shifts:
• Fri-Sat: Pick up equipment Friday evening, store overnight,
and deliver/setup early Saturday morning.
• Sat-Sun: Break down equipment Saturday evening, store
overnight, then deliver/setup early Sunday morning.
• Sun Return: Break down equipment Sunday evening and return
equipment to Oso HQ (no overnight storage).
When and Where You'll Serve
The tournament runs over two days: Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7. All public volunteer shifts take place at:
- Oso Fields (main complex near Norman P. Murray)
Remote fields (Beebe, Melinda) may also require staffing needs. More information to come if needed.
What to Expect
During the week of the tournament, volunteers will receive a detailed email with check‑in instructions, where to go, what to bring, and who to contact with questions.
Volunteers will check in at the headquarters tent near Norman P. Murray.
All volunteers receive a Mission Viejo Classic t‑shirt as a thank‑you for serving.
